Helen Eller started making short films with her iPhone in 2021 as a self-taught filmmaker and launched a YouTube channel in 2022 to document her creative journey.
She was born in Estonia, where she spent her childhood and adolescence. At 19, she moved to Spain to study Spanish Philology and has lived there for most of her adult life.
Her short films “Drawing Book” (“El libro de dibujos”) and “A Vague Memory” (“Un vago recuerdo”) were selected for the Love and Hope International Film Festival in 2024 and 2025. Both were also nominated for Best Spanish Short Film.
